19991:Cancelled the contract with IBM and launched Visual

1997:Launched office 97.Internet explorer 4.0 released and the users of

Netscape decreased.

1998:Steve Ballmer became the prsident of MIcrosoft.Bill Gates as CEO.

Launched windows 98.

2000:Launched windows 2000 and windows millenium,windows millenium

was a complete failure.Steve Ballmer became CEO.

2001:Launched windows xp and X Box.

2002:started .NET

2004:Launched windows xp media centre edition.

2005:Made changes to MSN to compete with Ultimate GOOGLE.

2007:Launched windows VISTA and Office 2007.

2008:Launced windows server 2008,Visual studio on february 27.

June 27:Bill Gates officially left Microsoft and Steve Ballmer be-

came the chairman.
